Do not attempt to lift the handle or wring out water until the mop-head has softened completely; this might take up to 1 minute if the mop-head is dry. Never action the handle when the sponge is dry, it could damage the mechanism and the sponge. Do not use bleach or harsh floor cleaners with this product as dye will leak out and the mop-head may become damaged. The extending handle is locked/unlocked.
